If I was to presume, the reason why some people become enlightened while others turn into monsters or just survive with a prolonged lifespan is the visitors are manually curating which humans survive and won’t. That’s why Important people have such a high enlighten rate.

now i like the game even more.... it's an awesome narrative, too bad that the average gamer (myself included) needs a lot of time and practice to achieve all that.... while keeping pace of the narrative in such a manner that you can sort all the details. Awesome work man!!!

imma be honest, the guy who made this game sounds to me like either some conspiracy theorist or one of those guys who would unironically say the whole "society has fallen BILLIONS must DIE!!" for some petty reason

i remember playing this game for the first time. several years ago i’m scrolling through the games with gold section on my xbox and this game is free so i say fuck it, my storage wasn’t working so i didn’t have any of my games downloaded and this one was fairly low in space so i decided to try it out, queue to me pulling an all weekend bender to finish this game shitting myself in some parts and being utterly creeped by the overall aesthetic and story, such a fire ass game and honestly some of the best storytelling i’ve seen from a game in a while

Thank you so much for making this lore video! I played through the game, explored everywhere, and even got the secret/true ending discussed at the end of this video, but I still had little idea what the game was actually about. As you said, it's a shame that the story elements let this game down so much, as the gameplay, visuals, and music are outstanding! I agree that it would be splendid to see the studio create a more cohesive narrative for their next game. Anyway, cheers for this!

Honestly, I don't think the ending to HM2 is ENTIRELY literal. It could be that it's more of a metaphorical bomb, the culmination of all the things the characters have done, all in one moment. All their suffering, all the pain they've caused, wiped out in an instant, as the consequences engulf them. No one will remember Jacket, or anything that happened in HM2. All they'll remember is the war with Russia and the 50 Blessings. A clean slate. Everything as it was supposed to be. The Cold War, restarted again. I feel like it's more about the backdrop for the bombing. We see a near-hallucination of the man in the chicken mask. It was also just the START of the war, which would have been quick for a total bombing.

Something people often overlook is the control the visitors have over the reborn.... To be able to control over every action and thought humans have...... What would have happened if the Titan had been used defensively only.... Instead of going to launch an attack against a much more heavily defended enemy.

Honestly now I wish so much there was like a harder Creators boss variant where you fight all four of them. That boss was definitely my favourite, if a bit too easy. It really scratches that Sisters of Battle/Nightmare King Grimm itch Hollow Knight gave me. Also this was an awesome summary in general. I just wanted to learn the name of the 4th Creator without running the Corrupt mode, but it ended up tying everything together so neatly, so now I can be sure I don't miss any major details.
